This single-family home renovation project restored this Victorian structure in Oak Park's Ridgeland Historic district.  The project aims to modernize the home while also restoring and maintaining its existing historic features.  The design reconciles numerous remodeling projects that were made over time and brings new functionality to the home within a cohesive aesthetic.

The home design features enhanced thermal performance in the exterior envelope, new front decking and stairs, a restored original main stairway and original sliding wood doors, new finishes and decorative lighting throughout the first floor.  Other features include a new stair to the upgraded attic space that matches the original wood stair and a new primary suite.
